In November 2023, I embarked on a 9 day adventure across the deserts of Rajasthan - a state in the North West part of India. Over the course of these nine days, we covered 2600 km and travelled to cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Nawalgarh. Even though most of the highways were well built and a pleasure to ride on, we had to go through a lot of patches that were completely filled with sand. This really tested our skills as riders and we managed to safely ride through all of these challenges. We also got the opportunity to visit Laungewala - a battle ground in the India-Pakistan war of 1971. They had war memorial there as a tribute to the brave soldiers who had laid down their lives to protect their motherland. On the way back from Laungewala we also saw army tanks going through training routines. Watching the massive tanks moving around with such speed and agility is a sight that I will forever remember. Even though it was a very long ride and we faced a lot of challenges (almost got run over by a cow), this journey taught us a lot about patience and perseverance and sticking to your goal. Focus on the road ahead and you will reach your destination!
